Google is old enough to drive a car, but not quite old enough to buy a beer. But at just 17, Google has a world of experience under its belt.
On September 27, Google officially celebrated its 17th anniversary with a customary Doodle that looked back on the beginning of the world’s most used search engine.
The 17th anniversary Doodle features a rather chunky PC sporting the 1998 “Google” logo, a server constructed with toy logo blocks, and a fantastic lava lamp. Some of us still have that lava lamp on our desks.
Google celebrated their 17th birthday with a look back on the company’s humble beginnings, “when branded hockey jerseys were cool and Savage Garden had a number-one single.”
Happy Birthday Google!
